My friend’s mother thinks about Ocean City a lot.  All the summers she spent with her good friends on the beach watching her children and the tide go in and out.  She is a lady who loves life and Ocean City ranks right up there.  One day I took a small basket of flowers to her in her retirement facility.  The moment she received those flowers she came back to Baltimore, to her apartment.  She knew just where she wanted to put the flowers with a little kerchief underneath.  She wondered where my address was so she could write a thank you note.  I sit here now so moved at the power of flowers.
