Stone in Landscape

What a treat yesterday to tour six private gardens in Baltimore County sponsored by the Horticultural Society of Maryland.  This island of rock surrounded by a sea of liriope has vegetation all its own, sedum creeping from its crevices.  (more on stone in the landscape see “The Use of Stone…” 5/28/09 post)
