We’ve seen pictures of parallel style and thought, “Yes, we need to try that so we could say we had,” but really didn’t understand the why or wherefore until we did. Precision in place, material and size are all so important when you are given restraints with your design: few but grouped material, little radiation, rows of varying size and different textures. It was more challenge than one would think perhaps like placing furniture in a doll house or building a model plane. This first picture was actually the end product. The errant rose found under the tree in the second picture was whimsical, not parallel. Even in its diminutive size and whiteness its mass was wrong in place.
