Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) celebrates Hanami, the Japanese cultural tradition of viewing and cherishing each moment of the cherry blossom season from the first buds to the pink blossoms that fall like enchanted, delicate snow. The BBG‘s world-renowned collection of flowering cherry trees take center stage, culminating in the two-day Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossom Festival (May 2nd-May 3rd), a New York rite of spring. Visitors can track the cherry display by going to BBG’s website:
www.bbg.org and click on CherryWatch feature.
