Talmar at Farmer's Market

A friend told me that I needed to go to Talmar off of Cromwell Bridge Road in Baltimore County.  Indeed I did.  Then I met  Catherine Murphy, their Executive Director, and Brian, a staff member, at the Farmer’s Market on Tuesdays at Kenilworth Bazaar.  Of course I left there with their fresh cut flowers in my hand.  Talmar (Therapeutic Alternatives of Maryland) in collaboration with Baltimore County Dept. of Recreation and Parks tills the soil and reaps the beauty of the annuals that so many of us want to grow but can’t in such quantity.  The pictures tell it all.  Look closely at the “corn stalk” which is actually sorghum and the head of celosia at its foot.  Such specimens of beauty.
