- Art Exhibition and Sale of the works of internationally acclaimed equestrian artist, Hubert de Watrigant held in conjunction with the release of “The My Lady’s Manor Races 1909 – 2009“, the history of the Manor Steeplechase by Maryland author, Margaret Worrall at Ladew Topiary Gardens.
- Join us at Ladew as we kick off the celebration of 100 years of the My Lady’s Manor Steeplechase races with the opening of this special art exhibit, book release and signing.
- Internationally renowned equestrian artist, Hubert de Watrigant has exhibited in France, Hong Kong, Japan, the Emirates, throughout Europe, in the United States and Great Britain, receiving great acclaim. His work is in the collections of Her Majesty the Queen, Guy de Rothschild and many others. This exhibit will run through April 26th and is underwritten by Middendorf Foundation, Inc. www.hubertdewatrigant.com.
- Margaret Worrall is a writer/journalist and past chair of the Maryland Hunt Cup. Her heritage is My Lady’s Manor and she has set the scene of the rural lifestyle, which embraces the tradition of horses, hounds and racing over big timber in her book, which includes over 100 photographs. The author, along with past My Lady’s Manor winning jockeys, will autograph copies of the book.

The My Lady’s Manor Steeplechase Races
Gates open at 10:00 am, Jarrettsville Pike (MD 146) and Pocock Road, Monkton Maryland
Join us as the My Lady’s Manor Steeplechases celebrate 100 years, featuring four steeplechase races and the Governor’s Cup Inter-Hunt Challenge Relay. The day begins at 10am with the live bluegrass music of Manor Grass (in partnership with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Maryland Chapter). Food and merchandise will be available for purchase at the many vendor tents.
