Monkton, Maryland
Sunday morning, 15 miles north of Baltimore is the prettiest horse country. Driving up I-83 a hawk circles and then swoops pass the car having caught his prey faster than the car sped. Approaching the town of Monkton a Confederate flag flies. Less than a mile away an Obama/Biden plackard stands. One can only think how divided Maryland was, south of the Mason-Dixon Line during the Civil War. Passed by a Bison Trading Company. Bison is red meat of choice when you are watching your arteries clog. The calf and her momma, Belted Galloways, were just waiting for our flowers.
