The red with yellow centered dahlias set the tone for this arrangement.  Gomphrenia (the little orange and red furry balls) play off the sword like petals of the dahlias.  In fact everything else in the piece is small and round with the exception of the goldenrod (yellow) making the dahlias the king or queen of the hill.
