“Blooms” is back bigger and better.  It will play a key part in the Boston Flower and Garden Show to be held at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, Massachusetts from March 24th to March 28th.  It will incorporate everything you would expect from the Massachusetts Horticultural Society.  Two premier floral design competitions will test the imagination and creativity of the region’s top arrangers.  An amateur horticultural competition will show what a green thumb can accomplish over the course of a cold New England winter.  Plant Society displays will showcase their members’ skill and knowledge.  Ikebana designers will provide a graceful note with their space meticulous arrangements.  At the end of winter it’s going to be the breath of spring we all need.

The theme of the Boston Flower and Garden Show is “A Feast for the Senses.”  There will be over 30 gardens to enjoy, filled with the colors of spring.  You will also find many exhibitors featuring horticultural and gardening products, garden furnishings, ornaments, art and handcrafted gifts in the show.

During your visit to the Flower Show enjoy an English Tea Garden, the Garden of Cakes and put your name in the hat for a Boothbay, Maine Garden Get-Away for two.  Don’t miss the Lever Garden of Five Senses.  Also included are lectures on gardening, cooking and floral and growing demonstrations.

The Massachusetts Horticultural Society, founded in 1829, is dedicated to encouraging the science and practice of horticulture and developing the public’s enjoyment, appreciation and understanding of plants and the environment.
